The National Advisory Group (NAG) is an association driven by convenience store retailers for retailers. It is an organization committed to building profits and relationships for all of our members. NAG is aimed at small, mid-sized and family-owned convenience chains and the executives that run them.

NAG was conceived by Hugh Howton (a former retailer) because he felt other associations and conference opportunities for retailers were oriented towards larger chains. After nearly 35 years, the NAG mission remains the same: to help convenience store retailers interact with each other to discuss new concepts, share information and come away with innovative ideas to grow sales and profits.

The foundation of NAG remains its world-class Informational Exchanges, which allow retailers the opportunity to connect with other non-competing retailers in an intimate setting that is conducive to learning new ideas and fresh perspectives.

After all these years, NAG’s role in the industry remains unquestioned. There is a void in the channel for this type of passionate organization, composed of executive level retailers from small, mid-sized and family-owned chains. NAG remains an organization that is fully committed to its members, promotes relationships, networking, intimacy and, most importantly, executable ideas and takeaways.

Membership in NAG includes a host of benefits, including membership in the Young Executives Organization (YEO) for your next-generation leader’s ages 40 and under.
