Industry Thought Leader Column
Our Allied Member companies are invited to submit quarterly columns as long as they meet our specific industry thought leader guidelines, which are listed below. The goal of our Industry Thought Leader columns is to offer brand-neutral insights to c-store retailers on topics that are highly relevant to their business. Topics can be anything from getting started with generative AI to design best practices to simplifying the foodservice menu or trendy pizza toppings for summer.
Guidelines
Your Industry Thought Leader Column(s):
- are voluntary and exclusively free opportunity for Allied Supplier Members. Non-members pay $6,950 per column.
- will be posted to CStoreDecisions website and included in the CStoreDecisions Daily eNewesletter.
- should discuss a specific industry topic that is relevant to convenience store operators in a brand-neutral way.
- will not return leads or metrics on performance.
- may be edited. Our editors have final control over the editing process, from headline to photo to whatever we might determine necessary to cut or add for the sake of clarity, editorial style and to keep columns in alignment with our guidelines.
- will be run anywhere from two weeks to two months after article submission; we try to post more timely articles as soon as possible, but generally there is a queue.
- will be shared with you when the link is live.

Do's and Do Not's
Please be sure to:
- Write column in the third person
- Include 600 – 800 words
- Include author byline – name and company
- Include a headshot for the author
- Include a two to three sentence bio at the bottom of the article that includes the author’s name and title (here is where you can include your company name, description of services and a website or contact email for more information).
- Include attribution if referencing a statistic (For example: according to Mintel, “October 2025 Beverage Report.”)

Please DO NOT:
- Include link backs to the author’s company, except for within the bio, or if it’s an educational link that does not promote the company or sell a product.
- Do not include quotes from other people.
- Do not mention any supplier companies in the column, including your own. While we like our authors to utilize their expertise, we ask that the stories not include any hard sells for the author’s services or products.
- Submit more than one column per quarter.
