Director of Brand Development | Chestnut Petroleum
Sharif Jamal serves as the brand development manager for New Paltz, N.Y.-based Chestnut Petroleum (CPD). The company currently operates a network of more than 300 company-owned and dealer-operated sites across New York and New Jersey.
Jamal has had various business assignments while working at CPD. He recently switched from retail and wholesale account manager to corporate training manager, overseeing training programs and developing new training for fuel operations, online sales associate training programs, new POS systems and back-office systems. Today, he is overseeing the roll out of the chain’s rebranding program, which will have dozens of stores remodeled to the new Chestnut Market brand.
Jamal is a second-generation leader at family-owned Chestnut Petroleum. His father Mickey Jamal grew the company from a small mechanic shop in New Paltz and built it along with his brothers into a regional powerhouse.
In addition to his work at Chestnut Petroleum, Jamal has served as a board member of the Young Executives Organization (YEO) since 2016.
