Rocky Sickmann, a recent retiree of Anheuser-Busch and survivor of the Iran Hostage Crisis, is joining Folds of Honor as Senior VP, Budweiser Accounts. In this new role, Sickmann will focus on the organization’s foundation development, as well as managing Folds of Honor’s existing partnership with Anheuser-Busch.
With his involvement in Folds of Honor, Sickmann hopes to educate and encourage others to support this important mission.
Sickmann served as a U.S. Marine Corps at the American Embassy in Tehran, Iran in 1979, during which a mob of Iranian militants took Sickmann and 53 others hostage for 444 days. Following his service in the Marines, he joined Anheuser-Busch, where he focused on market penetration among the Military in various roles; most recently, he was the director of military and industry affairs for the company.
Folds of Honor is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization, established in 2007, that provides educational scholarship assistance to spouses and children of fallen or disabled service members. Since its founding, Folds of Honor has provided more than 10,000 scholarships to qualified applicants.
